Sarsen Technology provides a wide range of COTS hardware and system solutions to the leading European Defence & Aerospace manufacturers. We have a long track record of supporting mission critical systems for land, sea & air and we understand the importance of both process control and long-term support.
Our defence & aerospace clients need rugged solutions that are designed for harsh environmental conditions such as heat or cold, altitude, humidity, shock and vibration. Often the solutions we supply must be able to fit into space-constrained platforms and we can offer custom systems to suit. Also key is fast time to market, low risk, flexibility and long product life cycle. Many of the products we supply and support have industry-leading product life cycles and warranties as standard.
Sarsen Technology supplies and supports a variety of board level and system solutions specifically designed for our military customers. These include conduction-cooled, ruggedised and COTS compliant solutions for applications that include:
The Extreme Engineering Solutions XPedite7370 is a high-performance, low-power 3U VPX-REDI single board computer based on the Intel Core i7 processor and Intel QM57 chipset. With two PCI Express P1 interconnects and two Gigabit Ethernet ports, the XPedite7370 is ideal for the high-bandwidth and processing intensive applications of today's military and avionics applications. The XPedite7370 accommodates up to 8 GB of DDR3 ECC SDRAM on two channels to support memory-intensive applications. The XPedite7370 also hosts numerous I/O ports including Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0, SATA, graphics, and RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 through the backplane connectors. The XPedite7370 can be used in either the system slot or peripheral slot of a VPX backplane. Wind River VxWorks, QNX Neutrino, Green Hills INTEGRITY, and Linux Board Support Packages (BSPs), as well as Windows drivers, are available.
The Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) XPm2000 changes the rules on what can be done with a 3U VPX format power supply. The XPm2000 takes in a MIL-STD-704 28V-DC input voltage and provides up to 200 W on 3.3V, 5V, and ±12V at up to 90% efficiency. The XPm2000 also provides on card MIL-STD-461E EMI filtering.
The XPm2120 from Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is a 12V centric standard 300W 3U VPX (VITA 62.0) power supply with a fully compliant VITA 62.0 connector pinout. The XPm2120 is designed for demanding 3U VPX military & aerospace applications.
Freescale MPC8270 Processor-Based Multi-Protocol Four-Port Serial Conduction-Cooled PMC Module
The Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) XPort3301 is a conduction- or air-cooled dual 10GBASE-T 10 Gigabit Ethernet XMC board with front panel or rear I/O support. A x8 PCI Express (PCIe) 2.0 port is routed per VITA 42.3 to the P15 connector for interfacing with the host module. Front panel I/O for the 10GBASE-T 10 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces is provided with up to two RJ-45 connectors. The XPort3301 also supports rear 10GBASE-T I/O through the P16 connector, and utilizes X12d I/O mapping per VITA 46.9. The XPort3301 supports automatic negotiation down to 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T on both 10GBASE-T ports.
