Analog Devices SHARC ADSP-SC589 Module

The dspSoM™ 589 from Danville is a highly integrated, small form factor "System on Module" that combines Analog Devices' newly released ADSP-SC589 SHARC processor with external memory and connectivity.

The dspSoM™ 589 provides you with a comprehensive platform for efficient development and production, and is ideal for fast time to market of high performance audio and industrial products.

  • Two SHARC® floating point DSPs (5.4 GFLOPS, 1.8 GMACs)
    • Large 640KB L1 SRAM per SHARC®, shared L2 SRAM & advanced DMA features
    • New advanced FFT/iFFT accelerator (up to 18 GFLOPS)
    • Glue-less Digital Audio Interfaced including 8x SPORT I2S, SPDIF & Sample Rate Converters
  • ARM Cortex-A5 providng connectivity and additional processing
    • FPU and Neon® DSP extensions
    • Gigabit Ethernet, USB High Speed, PCI Express
    • Mobile Storage (including SD/SDIO)

The SHARC SC589 consumes less than 2 watts, making the new processor more than 2 times more efficient than the nearest competitive processors.
