Hammerhead ADSP-21160 PC/104+ Products

Dual or quad Analog Devices ADSP-21160 PC/104-Plus board. Incorporating the performance of the ADSP-21160 onto a low-cost embedded form-factor, the Hammerhead PC/104-Plus board offers OEMs a superior yet cost-effective DSP solution that is ideal for industrial and military applications.

The Hammerhead-PC/104-Plus's innovative architecture combines ADSP-21160 processing power with a 32-bit 33 MHz PCI interface, expansive memory options, a variety of I/O interfaces, and BittWare's SharcFIN ASIC technology. The board features two ADSP-21160 SHARC DSPs, each providing 600 MFLOPs of processing power.

I/O interfaces on the board include four external link ports, a 32-bit 33 MHz PCI interface, an RS-232 port, a JTAG emulation interface, and a TDM serial port. For memory options, the board incorporates a 64-512 MB bank of SDRAM and a 2 MB bank of Flash memory.

Providing the backbone of the Hammerhead-PC/104-Plus's architecture is a SharcFIN ASIC. The SharcFIN ASIC features a comprehensive set of bus interfaces and peripherals for the ADSP-21160 DSPs and provides a clean, elegant board-level implementation. It integrates a full-featured SDRAM controller, a full 64-bit 66 MHz master PCI interface, a peripheral bus that interfaces the DSPs to peripherals such as the RS-232 UART and Flash, and an extensive flag and interrupt multiplexer.

Shortfin-PC/104-Plus

The Shortfin-PC/104-Plus is a DSP board based on Analog Devices’ low-cost ADSP-21065L SHARC processor. Combining two SHARC DSPs, which provide 360 MFLOPS of processing power, with 16 MB of SDRAM, 2MB Flash memory, and a 32-bit, 33MHz PCI interface, the Shortfin- PC/104-Plus is ideal for embedded computing applications.

ADSP-2106x PC/104+ Products

The Silvertip packs the high performance floating-point power of the Analog Devices ADSP-2106x SHARC DSP into the compact but versatile PC/104 package. The standard size board is configured with a 40 MHz SHARC processor that can operate with a PC/104 host computer or stand-alone with its on-board boot FLASH. An expansion connector extends a portion of the SHARC processor bus to additional I/O or memory devices.

Loaded with processing power, the Silvertip-QUAD packs four 40 MHz SHARC DSPs onto a compact PC/104 format card. Small enough for space-constrained applications and rugged enough for industrial environments, the Silvertip-QUAD is a powerful solution for your embedded system design.
