VersaLogic Sumit Series Solutions

Stackable Unified Module Interconnect Technology (SUMIT™) is a stackable, I/O centric expansion approach that includes both high and low speed bus signals. Signals supported by the SUMIT specification include PCIe, USB, LPC, SPI, SMBus and ExpressCard, all on one high-speed connector. An optional second connector supports additional PCIe lanes. Combined with an optional ISA connector to support legacy PC/104 expansion modules, VersaLogic's SUMIT-EBX, SUMIT-EPIC, and SUMIT-104 platforms offer the best of both worlds.

SUMIT makes expansion easy, especially for custom I/O modules, by providing access to a variety of low and high-speed signals, in a compact high-reliability connector.

A dual core single board computer (SBC) on a SUMIT-EPIC™ platform. The Komodo features a very high performance Intel® Core™2 Duo processor, dual Gigabit Ethernet, and high performance integrated video. The 4.5" x 6.5" (115 mm x 165 mm) board also includes a MiniBlade™ flash drive socket. SiliconSystems' MiniBlade is a rugged postage-stamp sized removable solid-state drive in a locking socket. The MiniBlade standard was recently approved by the SFF-SIG.

An Intel Atom™ based embedded computer in a SUMIT-104 format. The Ocelot uses the latest energy-saving industrial temperature Atom version to provide high performance (1.6 GHz) at very low power (7 Watts). This PC/104™-sized board, at only 3.6" x 3.8" (90 mm x 96 mm), is compatible with most SUMIT and PC/104 expansion boards and will be available in both standard (0º to +60ºC) and extended (-40º to +85ºC) temperature versions.

A SUMIT-104 expansion board that provides two Gigabit Ethernet ports. It features extended (-40º to +85ºC) temperature operation and an on-board PCIe Mini Card socket that will support wireless Ethernet and other add-on cards.

A SUMIT-104 power supply card. This in-stack power supply card provides up to 50W output from 9 to 40V DC input. It is compatible with the industry standard PC/104 format (3.6" x 3.8" / 90 mm x 96 mm) and provides power through both the SUMIT and ISA connectors.

A SUMIT-104 serial interface module. This PC/104 format board provides COM port expansion for SUMIT systems.

The rugged SUMIT Series products are ideally suited for military/aerospace, homeland security and industrial automation applications.
