Cyber Essentials
The Cyber Essentials scheme was developed by the Government and industry to help organisations protect themselves against common cyber attacks. Since October 2014 the scheme has been mandatory for central government contracts which involve handling personal information and providing certain ICT products and services.
Cyber Essentials defines a set of controls which, when properly implemented, provide organisations with basic protection from the most prevalent forms of threats coming from the Internet. It focuses primarily on threats from unskilled attackers using software tools which are widely available online.
Government market sectors like cyber security, intelligence, surveillance and secure communications have become increasingly important in recent times. They also come with a unique set of challenges. Sarsen Technology works with a number of manufacturers who specialise in niche, embedded computer systems which can be used in a wide range of government and defence security applications including surveillance, cyber security, secure storage and deep packet inspection.
The achievement of Cyber Essentials certification supports our ongoing commitment to cyber security, and provides our customers with peace of mind that we take IT and data safety very seriously. For more information please visit
