Sales Administrator

May 2011 - Sarsen Technology has a vacancy for an organised and enthusiastic office administrator. This job is available following strong company growth in the past two years. The ideal candidate will be adept at using Microsoft office applications and have some understanding of sales and marketing. The job would suit an out-going personality with strong intrapersonal skills and a good sense of humour. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Managing office procedures
• Providing support to the sales staff, and liaising with customers regarding quotes and orders
• Receptionist duties
• Liaising with suppliers and placing purchase orders
• Managing the entire process of the order - goods in, goods out, packing and shipment tracking
• Problem-solving and trouble-shooting
• Liaising with the accounts department and assisting with filing
• Recording and maintaining client contact data on the company Salesforce CRM system
• Updating supplier price lists using Microsoft Excel
• Buying supplies for the office

The skills and experience we are looking for include:

• Clear and effective oral and written communication
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Methodical approach and willingness to follow and improve procedures
• Technologically literate with an eye for detail
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Hours and Environment: The Sarsen Technology office is located in the centre of Marlborough High Street with a wide variety of shops and local services in this picturesque market town. The office hours are 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with 4 weeks annual leave. The remuneration is a competitive basic salary paid monthly, internal and external training and a parking permit.
