It is designed to support the latest chip sets and serial signalling protocols, including PCI Express Gen 3, SATA, USB 3.0, and high resolution video interfaces.
COM Express - PICMG
The COM Express standard was released in 2005 by the PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group (PICMG) and it defined different module options, each implementing different pinout configurations and feature sets on one or two 220-pin connectors.
