Antennas are crucial components of wireless communication systems, as they facilitate the transmission and reception of electromagnetic signals. An anti-jamming high gain antenna is a specialised type of antenna designed to mitigate or counteract intentional or unintentional signal jamming.

In the context of electronic warfare and communication systems, signal jamming refers to the deliberate transmission of interfering signals to disrupt the reception of legitimate communications. This can be done by adversaries to disrupt communication links, navigation systems, or other electronic signals. These anti-jamming techniques are especially critical in military applications, where reliable communication and navigation systems are essential for mission success. By using high gain antennas with anti-jamming capabilities, military forces can maintain secure and effective communication links even in hostile environments with intentional jamming attempts.

Anti-jamming technology aims to counteract the disruptive effects of intentional interference and ensure that critical communication channels remain operational. While traditional anti-jamming techniques focused on signal encryption and frequency hopping, the advent of anti-jamming high-gain antennas has introduced a new frontier in combating interference.
GNSSANT-AJ

Masterclock has answered the international call for an anti-jam high-gain antenna with the GNSSANT-AJ, designed for applications in areas where elevated levels of electronic ‘noise’ in the same frequency band from interfering signals can be expected.

This anti-jam feature modifies the reception pattern of the GNSS antenna such that it is “deaf” to signals arriving from -10° to +15° from horizon while slightly increasing the gain of the antenna at zenith. The GNSSANT-AJ covers the single-band of GNSS with SBAS augmentation, and provides excellent out of band rejection and multipath rejection.
