Annapolis Micro Systems Achieves AS9100D Certification

Embedded Systems Supplier Achieves AS9100D Certification - Annapolis

Annapolis Micro Systems, a leader in high-performance embedded computing solutions, is proud to announce its certification to AS9100 Rev D, the internationally recognized Quality Management System (QMS) standard for the aviation, space, and defense industries. This achievement underscores the company’s unwavering commitment to delivering the highest quality products and services to its customers in these critical sectors.

The scope of this certification includes the design, development, manufacturing, and applications programming of COTS computing systems for the commercial and military markets. The certification process was conducted by Intertek, a globally accredited certifying agency. View and download Annapolis’ Certificate of Registration here.

“Achieving AS9100D certification is an important milestone for our company,” said Nancy Dalton, President of Annapolis Micro Systems. “It reflects our dedication to quality, safety, and continuous improvement, and positions us to better serve our aerospace and defense customers with products that meet the highest international standards.”

The AS9100D certification builds upon Annapolis’ long-standing compliance with ISO 9001:2015. While ISO 9001:2015 provides a robust framework for general quality management, the AS9100D certification introduces additional aerospace-specific requirements. These include enhanced risk management, product safety measures, counterfeit parts prevention, and configuration management – all essential for meeting the rigorous demands of the aerospace industry.

Annapolis Micro Systems produces all of its FPGA Boards and Systems for OpenVPX and PCIe in their 16,000 square-foot state-of-the-art production facility located in Annapolis, Maryland. Their production facility houses inspection, inventory, SMT, rework, hand assembly, and production test.

Annapolis’ production facility is designed to meet customers’ needs both large and small, including high mix orders and special manufacturing requirements or timelines. The Annapolis production team enables customers to have long product life cycle support and aggressively manages part obsolescence by working closely with customers and continually providing future upgrade paths. Annapolis maintains full part traceability and protects against receipt and use of counterfeit parts. The Annapolis quality management system has been registered by Intertek as conforming to the requirements of AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015.
