VersaLogic releases new high-performance embedded computers
VersaLogic Corp. has expanded the Blackbird line of embedded computers. These new models support system designs needing high performance, but lower power dissipation. The new models are:

The Blackbird's on-board TPM security chip can lock out unauthorised hardware and software access. It provides a secure "Root of Trust." Additional security is provided through built-in AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) instructions.
Packed with high performance I/O, these new models include dual Gb Ethernet, two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, two 6GB SATA, and three Mini PCIe Sockets. These new models provide extreme CPU processing and video performance for its size.
These new embedded computers expand VersaLogic's family of EPU (Embedded Processing Unit) format computers. EPU's are designed around COM Express form factors, but are complete board level computers. They provide all the future flexibility of separate CPU and I/O modules, but are delivered as complete fully assembled and tested units (including heat plate), ready to bolt into a system. Since VersaLogic's EPUs are available off-the-shelf, they can drastically reduce project start-up and development time.
Powerful Video Processing
Intel's advanced Intel HD graphics 500 system provides outstanding graphics performance and is capable of supporting up to two 4K UHD monitors at once. In addition, the Skylake GPU can transcode 4K video up to 20 percent faster than the previous generation of CPU's. It also supports OpenCL 2.0, DirectX 12, and Open GL 4.3.
Designed, Manufactured and Tested for Extreme Environments
The new products include models designed and tested for industrial temperature (-40° to +85°C) operation. All models meet MIL-STD-202G specifications for high impact and vibration.
