Intel Stratix 10 GX FPGA 3/4-Length PCIe Board on Viper Platform

The S10VG4 from BittWare is an Intel Stratix 10 FPGA-based PCIe card designed for the most demanding datacentre and high performance computing applications. With an incredible 9.2 trillion floating point operations per second (TFLOPS), 100G Ethernet, and 2.7M logic elements, this board sets new standards for FPGA performance.

The S10VG4 meets the significant thermal challenge posed by the power density of the FPGA with BittWare’s Viper platform, offering support for large FPGA loads, up to 32 GBytes of DDR4, and 4x100 Gbps Ethernet. OpenCL support enables a high-level software-like development flow, which greatly simplifies FPGA development.

Viper Platform for Thermal Performance
The S10VG4 is designed with BittWare’s Viper platform for thermal performance. The Viper platform uses advanced computer flow simulation to drive the physical board design in a thermals first approach, including the use of heat pipes, airflow channels, and arranging components to maximise the limited available airflow in a server. Viper boards are passive as standard, but active cooling is also available.
