The
WILDSTAR SAF1 from
Annapolis Micro Systems is turning heads all over the place, offering developers access to the many benefits of the integrated Intel
Altera Agilex 9 MCP1 Direct RF-Series FPGA on a seriously small footprint. Altera® Agilex™ 9 FPGAs combine an FPGA, ARM, and RF transceiver in a single package for maximum latency reductions and SWaP benefits in demanding radar, communications, electronic warfare, SIGINT, and commercial applications.
SAF1 is the lowest latency and highest bandwidth four channel 64 GSps Direct RF Small Form Factor solution currently on the market. In a bit of an engineering masterclass, this tiny board fits neatly in the palm of your hand, but still delivers high-performance processing and
four channels each of 64 GSps A/D and D/A converting at 10-bit resolution. By supporting much higher conversion and processing rates, these boards make it possible for customers to acquire and process adversary emissions from a wider portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, with a lower SWaP RF front end.
Because of its compact layout, SAF1 can be deployed as a standalone unit for edge applications close to the sensor, and in other tight envelope man-portable environments. SAF1 is packed with onboard features, including analog front-end personalisation, and there are also options for back-end personalisation, Jetson AGX Orin™ GPU/CPU processing, and a Development Kit.
The
NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin™ Module Card (WISD11) adds a GPU, CPU, and deep learning and vision accelerators, and provides 2048-core NVIDIA Ampere architecture GPU with 64 Tensor Cores and 248 TOPS. The dev kit is an air-cooled test fixture that includes all cables, adapters and desk mounting kit for out-of-the-box development, allowing users to get started straight away.
SAF1 is in final testing and will be shipping to customers this month. If you would like to be kept up to date with release dates or would like to receive a copy of the latest datasheet
