Next-Gen Direct RF Demo
Small Form Factor Altera Agilex 9 FPGA Solution
We’re always pleased to have
Annapolis Micro Systems join us at UK events, and we're excited to be joined by
Bob Kirk and Noah Donaldson at DSEI 2025 in London in September 2025. This year they’re bringing a powerful mix of innovation, performance, and real-world application.
Based in Maryland, USA, Annapolis Micro Systems has spent over 35 years pushing the boundaries of embedded signal processing. They specialise in:
- Rugged, high-bandwidth FPGA boards and systems
- Direct RF and optical I/O for demanding edge applications
- Rapid development tools for DSP workloads
- Long product life cycles and outstanding support
Whether you're working on EW, SIGINT, radar, C4ISR, or AI-at-the-edge, Annapolis provides the modular building blocks and open standards support to accelerate your application without locking you into proprietary hardware.
If You See One Thing at DSEI, It Should Be This…
For the first time in the UK, you can see the
WILDSTAR SAF1 module in action - a SWaP-optimised Direct RF platform built for tough environments, from UAVs and ground vehicles to man-portable ISR kits.
Live Demo Highlights:
- ADC sampling at 64 GS/s, using Agilex 9
- Decimate-by-16 processing, displaying 4 GHz of tunable bandwidth
- Built with Open CoreFire™, an agnostic DSP development environment
Here’s the really clever bit: the demo application was originally developed for a 3U OpenVPX Xilinx-based card, but was ported to the SAF1 module using Open CoreFire™ in just one month. That’s a huge win for development speed and reuse, especially for customers operating in fast-paced environments where agility matters.
If you’re attending the show, make sure to stop by N4-311 and check out the live demo; it's a great opportunity to see real-time, wideband signal processing in action with impressive performance metrics and a flexible development environment.
